Fractional Ownership News
Sales launch at North Carolina fractional ownership community

A fractional ownership community of vacation homes in Beaufort, North Carolina has launched it sales operation. MainSail of Beaufort offers a minimum 10/th share (five weeks use) of coastal townhouses, with prices starting at below $60,000.
MainSail townhomes are three-story, 1,925 square-foot homes with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a roof top terrace, two decks, two porches, large two-car garages and an elevator in each unit. On-site amenities include a large pool, hot tub, cabana, clubhouse with fitness room, spa facilities, a large gathering room, and a full-service concierge.
Developer Richard Stockett said: "Looking at the best ways to move coastal development projects forward in the tightened economy, co-ownership is appealing because of the affordability to the buyer. Other similar products on the market tend not to provide the depth of management and usage programs that MainSail does. That is why I coined the phrase co-ownership, to differentiate MainSail from other, less comprehensive offerings."
Construction is planned for late 2009 to allow for occupation by May 2010. The new on-site sales office features a view from the rooftop terrace so prospective buyers can get a feel for the vistas and privacy each unit offers.
