Sold out! Spanish resort sells all its fractional units
The Seasons Holidays at Forest Hills resort in southern Spain’s Sierra de Ronda Mountains has sold all of its fractional ownership shares by offering upgrades to its 23,000 timeshare owners.
Forest Hills has now sold 100 per cent of its 43 units on a fractional freehold basis, having phased out timeshare. Customers were offered 1/8th shares in the one- and two-bedroom apartments, with prices ranging from £26,000 to £40,000.
In an encouraging sign for the industry in the current economic situation, Fractional Life believes Forest Hills is the first European resort to sell out its fractional offering – in this instance a total of 344 sales (43 units divided into eight shares).
All the apartments have satellite television, VCR/DVD player, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, washing machine, a private patio and well-equipped kitchens.
Sales and marketing director Leslie McCann said: “Forest Hills is undoubtedly one of the fastest selling fractional products in 2009. We developed our unique fractional leaseback concept as a result of our extensive experience with our timeshare and freehold buy-to-let customers. Eight keys are an affordable, flexible and sought-after product.”
Located 45 minutes drive from Malaga airport, and six kilometres from Estepona, Forest Hills has views of the surrounding mountains, down to the Mediterranean coast and across to North Africa.
Facilities include a steam room, gymnasium, games room, outdoor heated pool, an ‘Adults Only’ sun terrace, whirlpool spa bath, a therapy suite, bar and restaurant, evening entertainment, wifi and internet access.
