Sports Shares launches fractional ownership of luxury stadium suites
US company Sports Shares is bringing the fractional ownership concept to the sports and entertainment industry, providing flexible access to luxury suites for sports, concerts and cultural events in several major US cities.
The company says: “Business leaders and families alike are realizing that luxury suites are a far better venue for closing deals, building client relationships and creating family memories than buying high priced season tickets that often go unused and relegate fans to a row at the top of the stadium. In fact, studies show that 43 per cent of corporate season tickets go unused each year.”
Sport Shares is currently offering access to suites in Atlanta, Denver and North Texas arenas. “A Sports Shares membership appeals to business leaders interested in impressing clients, families that want to create lasting memories and groups of friends that want to share a flexible and convenient membership for all the top events,” said company president Todd Lindenbaum.
Members sign up for anywhere from two seats per event, to an entire luxury suite, with access to 10 to 100 events per year. Membership starts at $1,000. and can be tailored for each individual making it possible to book an entire luxury suite for five to 20 events at multiple venues or two seats per event at 20 annual events across multiple venues. If a member ends up not being able to attend one of the events, they can simply swap tickets at the last minute, or get extra seats to a particular event.
The process begins with Sports Shares proprietary online GamePlan membership management system that puts the member in charge of choosing the events, dates and venues they wish to attend. Members can go online to choose and change events, arrange for invitations, make special requests and run reports on how membership is being used. A dedicated member services team makes sure the tickets are in-hand, provide on-site catering and concierge services, and handle special requests for things like birthdays and special occasions.
“What’s great about the Sports Shares membership for our company is that it’s an easy business to understand, and gives us limitless choices in venues and events, while delivering turn-key service,” said Josh Korman, a principal at a real estate consultant and appraisal company in Fort Worth, Texas. “The GamePlan online system was one of the biggest surprises for me in joining Sports Shares. It gives us 24/7 online access to see the details of an event, service and availability of suites.”
Sports Shares offers two types of membership, Private Suite and Networking Suite. Costs range from as little as $1,000 to more than $200,000 depending on the type, number of tickets and number of events involved.
